The client, Kimco Realty, is a publicly-traded REIT that owns and manages many open-air shopping centers around the country. The company has around 40 internal locations, 25 of which required upgrades in their network’s hardware components.

In this project, the client needed IT support at its internal offices that were responsible for the shopping centers. On top of simultaneous deployments, the client needed to replace networking equipment at its offices within a strict deadline of 3 weeks.

The Solution:

Full Network Cabling Solution for Client

The client needed to replace access points at 25 of its internal offices around the country. All IT dispatched a primary service engineer and field technicians to the most accessible locations on the same day.

Due to their experience with situations of this nature, our IT support technicians had the insight to come onsite with ladders that allowed them to work almost immediately on arrival. They conducted an informal verification survey to determine how access point placement can be further improved, then set up the preconfigured equipment for installation.

After installation, the field technicians returned the old access points to each location’s respective point of contact onsite. Depending on the size of the location, All IT’s techs replaced two to five access points per site per day. Before leaving the site, the field service technicians worked with the remote support team to ensure the new access points had a connection and good signal strength throughout each office.
